Njogu Morgan is registered as a PhD student in Town and Regional Planning at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. His research explores the relationship between city governance form and implementation of the sustainable city agenda from an international comparative perspective. The research is co-supervised by Professor Philip Harrison of the University of the Witwatersrand and Professor Simon Joss, University of Westminster.
He also has a Masters degree in Public and Development Management from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies from Northwestern University, Chicago. Njogu has extensive professional experience in social-environment research and policy. In his spare time he is involved in urban gardening projects and efforts to transform Johannesburg into a more cycling friendly city.
